KASA DIGITALIA

INSTALLATION

In the occasion of the 2008 Salone del Mobile in Milan,  De Rosso realised Kasa Digitalia for Abet Laminati at the Triennale Museum. The installation created an utopic environment made of surfaces decorated with textures by Karim Rashid, cosmopolite and extrovert designer and stylist, and one of the most prolific of his generation.
In a futuristic hexagonal apartment, evocative of an exciting technological modernity, the flamboyant colours and the curvy geometrical shapes have created an astonishing psychedelic explosion, that represent Rashid’s expressive code.
All the energy and the sensual Minimalism of the designer expanded like in a gigantic kaleidoscope thanks to the lights that changed shade over time making the volumes continuously surprising and fascinating.
Besides organising, building and installing the imposing structure, De Rosso also created all the furnishing elements (lamps, tables, chairs, stools and sofas, the bathtub and even the shower), all with eccentric ad asymmetrical shapes. A further confirmation of De Rosso’s productive ability, experience and wide-raging creativity, that allows to take the most difficult and thrilling challenges.
